Three Physics faculty members have  been awarded Marsden Grants for  2011 – 2013. These awards, announced by the Marsden Fund of New Zealand on 23 September 2010,  are extremely competitive, with a a national success rate of less than 10%

Associate Professor Colin Fox, Principal Investigator on  “Sampling from Probability Distributions Arising in Inverse Problems”

Dr Craig Rodger Principal Investigator on  “Evaluating the Impact of Excess Ionization on the Atmosphere (EI EI A)”

Dr Ashton Bradley Principal Investigator on Fast Start award “The Birth, Life and Death of a Quantum Vortex Dipole “
