We are located in the Department of Physics, and are members of the Jack Dodd Centre for Quantum Technology, the Dodd-Walls Centre for Quantum Science and Technology, and The University of Otago Lasers and Applications Research Theme.

We are currently involved in exciting research into the preparation and trapping of single atoms. Recently, we have developed an efficient method to prepare single Rubidium atoms for imaging or further experiments.
