Scattering Yield

Below is shown the measured fraction of scattered particles as function of the collision energy.

The experimental data is in good agreement with the theoretical curve calculated from our model for the phase shifts 4.3 using Eq. (5) and (6) when the depletion of particles from the colliding clouds is taken into account (the effect of depletion is important since up to 50% of particles are scattered in the collisions).
