Travel Advice

Many meeting attendees will be traveling a considerable distance to come to New Zealand and may wish to plan some additional activities around the meeting. Some general information about getting to Queenstown can be found here.

The most significant international airport in the South Island of New Zealand is at Christchurch. It is about a 7 hour drive to Queenstown from Christchurch, although there are also domestic flights from Christchurch to Queenstown and Dunedin.

Dunedin, the location of the University of Otago and the Jack Dodd Centre for Quantum Technology has a smaller airport which is mostly domestic, although there are direct flights from Australia. The driving time from Dunedin to Queenstown is about 4 hours.
